Our Mission
Retirement planning can feel confusing, especially if you are in your 40s or 50s and wondering whether you have saved enough. Retirement Calculator was created to give you a clear, honest answer in a few minutes, with no sign-up and no jargon.
Enter your age, savings, monthly contribution and the income you hope to have, and you will see whether you are on track, how long your money may last, and what you can change if you are behind.
What Makes It Different
- Free and private. All calculations run in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to or stored on our servers.
- Easy to read. Large text, large buttons and plain language, designed to be comfortable on any screen.
- Today's dollars. Results are adjusted for inflation so you can compare them directly with what you spend now.
- Practical suggestions. If you are short of your goal, we estimate how much more to save each month or how many extra years of work would close the gap.
How the Calculator Works
The calculator grows your current savings and monthly contributions at the annual return you choose, then subtracts inflation to express everything in today's dollars. In retirement, it withdraws the monthly income you need, after any Social Security or pension, until your target age.
Real markets do not deliver the same return every year, so treat the results as an estimate and a starting point for planning, not a prediction.
